Thomas Hydraulic and Hardware, located in Chico California was founded in 1974 by Thomas Dauterman. With a humble beginning in a small rented shop, Tom started a welding and fabrication shop in 1970. As his business grew, he wanted to better serve the needs of the area farmers. He had the opportunity to buy a local business, BT Hydraulics and quickly established Thomas Hydraulics. Tom brought his brother Doug Dauterman on board to help run Thomas Hydraulics where he ran it for over 45 years until his retirement in 2020. Thomas Hydraulic is still locally owed by Tom and his wife Sue and they are committed to providing our local community with friendly and outstanding service.

Thomas Hydraulic and Hardware offers a wide variety of services including a hydraulic and pneumatic repair shop, one of the best selections of hydraulic hoses, and a growing hardware store.
